Lydia & Alex

We’re back doing what we love! With Lydia & Alex having the stress of postponing their special day more than once during the pandemic, we knew that this wedding was going to be extra special after such a long wait… On the morning of the celebrations, Lydia was surrounded by her bridesmaids in a marquee in her parents garden. The sun was shining as lots of funny stories were shared whilst these beautiful ladies got ready (and Dad kept out of the way and out of trouble!)

Meanwhile Alex was with his two best men (yes two!) getting ready. Once suited and looking dapper, they arrived at St James’ Church in Snitterfield to begin greeting the guests. This pretty church in the most idyllic setting provided the most perfect backdrop for Lydia & Alex to tie the knot. The Bride arrived at the church in style in a vintage car accompanied by her extremely proud father. As they walked down the aisle, guests were completely wowed and Alex couldn’t take his eyes off his wife to be! After a really tough 18 months for everyone, there simply isn’t a better feeling than having the privilege of capturing the moment two people madly in love committing their lives to one another. The ceremony was beautiful – with readings from loved ones and live music – smiles beamed throughout the church. Before we knew it, Alex was sealing the deal with a kiss (almost getting told off by the vicar for going in too early!). With the church bells ringing, the new Mr & Mrs Harrington excitedly walked back up the aisle to begin their lives as husband & wife!

The sun continued to shine as we made our way over to Swallows Nest Barn. Set within beautiful Warwickshire countryside – this stunning wedding venue really does have the wow factor. The stylishly reinstated, 19th Century barn is steeped in character and set in a valley of beautiful private farm land with the most perfect blend of ‘old and new’. With its very own woodland, pretty stream and incredible courtyard – it was a joy to photograph Lydia & Alex there. When it came to the Bride & Groom photos… more than once we lost Lydia to a fit of giggles! With our cheeks aching from the laughter (far too rude to mention why!), we had the best time racing around exploring the vast grounds on a golf buggy. These guys were an absolute pleasure to photograph!

Making it back in time for the guests to welcome them into the room, everyone lapped up the most wonderful three courses. With bellies full of tasty food and glasses of fizz poured – everyone was poised for the big moment… the speeches! They didn’t disappoint, especially Alex’s two best men who kept the guests laughing throughout! Soon after, the courtyard was transformed and the evening got going! Not only did they have a DJ – but it was the Bride’s very own sister who absolutely smashed it! After their first dance as Mr & Mrs, guests strutted their stuff late into the night.

You guys rocked! Your wedding was exactly what weddings are about – laughter, smiles and immense amounts of love. It was our pleasure to document such an incredible day!Â
