Megane & Jared
Military uniforms, live music, a guard of honour and one hell of a party – Megan & Jared’s big day was just incredible!
Venturing ‘up north’ we joined this lovely pair at the most stunning property in Driffield in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds. The girls were upstairs getting themselves pampered, drinking fizz and sharing stories (and seeing who could catch jelly beans in their mouths!) whilst Jared and the lads were downstairs completing those last minute jobs and popping their suits on.
Both Megane and Jared shared gifts and held back the tears as they read letters from one another. This handsome groom started the clinical job of putting his uniform on, ensuring every little detail was covered.
Megane slipped into the most incredibly elegant dress, that was designed and created by Jared’s mum. It even had embroidered buttons with the couple’s initials on. With her hair up, perfectly complimented by pretty pearl jewellery – Megane truly made the most beautiful bride.
When the time came, we made the short journey over to St. Peter’s Church where guests were starting to arrive and take their seats inside. The skies were perfectly blue, with the sun shining on this gorgeous September day. Megane arrived in an impressive, vintage car with her father and couldn’t wait to walk down the aisle where an excited, but equally as nervous groom was waiting for her.
Megane and Jared’s ceremony was absolutely full of love and smiles and it was a joy to watch this pair tie the knot. Once the official paperwork was signed, guests made their way outside to cheer the new Mr & Mrs Bambridge as they exited the church to the most impressive military guard of honour!Â
Then it was time for drinks on the lawn as guests mingled and congratulated the newly weds in the glorious sunshine. We all then made the journey across to ‘The Grand Lodge at Oaklands’ where the rest of the day’s celebrations were being held.
This venue certainly has the ‘wow factor’ – set within 200 acres of beautiful woodland beside a picturesque lake, it has the grandest of entrances and exposed timber throughout. The new Mr & Mrs hopped out of their wedding car and walked over the water, across the bridge to cheers and rapturous applause!
With the sun shining, the opening speeches took place outside as guests enjoyed drinks on the charming patio. Whilst guests mingled and enjoyed live music, we had lots of fun with the groomsmen and bridal party as we explored the grounds.Â
Soon it was time for the wedding breakfast and as Megane & Jared made their way down the stairs into the room, we had dancing, cheering and napkin twirling! The rest of the speeches followed dinner and we were blessed with a gorgeous sunset where we grabbed some more portraits.Â
Then… the party truly got going! We had ‘Boat Race’ drinking games, the most impressive first dance with Jared lifting Megane high in the air before their nearest and dearest joined them on the dance floor as a live band got the place rocking late into he night!
It was impossible to narrow the photos down to a ‘sneak peek’, this was truly a wedding day to remember! Here’s to a married life full of exciting adventures and incredible memories.
