Becky & Matt

Having met Becky & Matt at one of their close friends’ weddings, it was so lovely when they asked us to capture their big day too. Waiting patiently throughout the last 18 months, their wedding day finally arrived and boy it didn’t fail to impress! Choosing Blackwell Grange to host their celebrations, they knew they’d be in safe hands. Capturing your heart from the moment you arrive, Blackwell Grange has been a family home for generations. Loved by its owners and steeped in history, there truly is something special about this venue.

Becky and the girls prepared for the big day in the venue’s ‘potting shed’. This quirky space is luxuriously finished and provided the most stunning area for this gorgeous Bride to get ready. We also believe a world record was set by a certain bridesmaid for most croissants eaten!! Meanwhile, Matt and his Groomsmen greeted the couples’ nearest and dearest as they arrived and took advantage of the gorgeous outside space on the terrace. With views of the neighbouring countryside, it really is a little piece of paradise in the Cotswolds.

When it was time for that all important moment, Becky made the short walk through the charming gardens arm in arm with her dad who was proudly ‘giving her away’. An excited but also nervous Groom waited at the end of the aisle. Original oak beams framing floor to ceiling windows allowed natural light to flood the room. With a live musician performing, the atmosphere was just perfect! Matt was speechless when he first laid eyes on his stunning bride to be. These two are so clearly madly in love and it was a pleasure capturing the moment they officially became husband and wife. Guests showered the new Mr & Mrs in pretty, dried petals as they exited the thatch barn hand in hand. Gorgeous sunshine kissed the terrace as guests enjoyed chatting over a drink and admired the beauty of Blackwell Grange.

Two extra special guests arrived and stole the show! As much as we love humans, we have a bit of a soft spot for four legged friends. Super excited to see Becky & Matt now married, Maisie and Ozzie were an absolute joy to photograph! Woof woof!

We explored the venues beautifully maintained grounds with this lovely couple, taking advantage of the ‘new and old’ backdrops for beautiful, natural portraits. Soon after, guests were seated in the ‘Orchard Barn’ for the wedding breakfast and were wowed by the sumptuous styling. The were tables decorated with beautiful, fresh flowers in-keeping with their colour theme. There were even favours for the guests comprising of miniature, corked glass bottles filled with blue ‘millions’ sweets – cute! Becky & Matt’s close friend created the most incredible three tiered wedding cake. Encased in eucalyptus and sat on a delightfully carved, rustic log – it simply looked too good to eat! Three speeches followed the meal – containing the perfect balance of emotion and humour. Remembering loved ones was especially important at this wedding and the Groom in particular did the most perfect job.

As the evening naturally flowed on to the terrace, the Orchard Barn was transformed ready for the partying to begin. During this time, we took advantage of a magnificent sunset – exploring the fields adjacent to the barns with the happy couple.

After their first dance, Becky and Matt could truly let their hair down and relax! The dance floor was filled with guests and inflatables – what a cracking night of partying late into the night!

Mr & Mrs Murphy – you guys rocked! The entire day had exceptional attention to detail, was full of laughter and it really was a pleasure to be part of. Here’s to a life full of happiness you two!
