Gemma & Marc – Catch a Glimpse
When Gemma & Marc first got in touch, they instantly wowed us with their plans for an autumnal wedding. Their wedding was being held at Skylark Farm in Northamptonshire. Skylark is a working farm set amidst the rolling countryside hills. Their chosen colour scheme was based around burnt orange. With the crisp autumn leaves and pumpkins too – we knew this day was going to look just amazing. As the day drew nearer, we loved hearing about the plans this couple were bringing together to make their wedding not only romantic, but super fun too.
Gemma & her girls were getting ready at a nearby hotel on the wedding day. We headed over to capture some photos of them getting glammed up and having fun! When Gemma’s father saw her stood in her stunning dress, it was a privilege to capture such a special moment.
Gemma and her bridesmaids – who looked wonderful in gorgeous, burnt orange dresses – made the short journey to the farm. Their bouquets were truly exceptional and fitted in perfectly with the incredible floral displays throughout the venue. The oranges, reds and yellows were in-keeping with the entire decor of the farm. Marc nervously waited for his Bride in the light and airy ceremony room. When Gemma finally walked the aisle arm in arm with her father – the moment was perfect. The I-do’s were personalised with beautiful vows which were full of heartfelt promises. The ceremony contained laughter, tears and plenty of love! What a brilliant way to start married life! Once the signing of the register had officiated the marriage, everyone headed outside to celebrate with a drink or two.
“If I know what love is, it is because of you”
With recent downpours of rain, the ground was a little boggy under-foot but this didn’t stop this brilliant Bride and Groom! We all embraced the day and made the most of this venue’s gorgeous scenery. We were able to capture some brilliant photos before we all headed indoors for a brilliant three course meal. The celebrations continued into the evening with the tradition of speeches, a cake cut and a first dance.
A particular highlight of the evening was a hilarious game of “doughnuts on a string”! This brilliantly competitive activity certainly had everyone in stitches! We can’t say much more other than have a look at the photo evidence..!
With time for a sparkler shot and some of our signature night time shots, we ended the day’s photography on a high! Leaving the new Mr & Mrs to party the night away, we truly had a famtastic day. Congratulations once again 🙂
