Melissa & Nathan – Catch a Glimpse

Melissa & Nathan chose the incredible ‘Stanbrook Abbey’ to host their special day. Dating back to the early 16th Century and what was once a grade II listed monastery – this property is full of character and wonderful charm! As you make your way up the winding driveway, the views of this glorious venue are breathtaking. Set in over twenty acres of private grounds, it really is one of Worcestershire’s best kept secrets.

We started the day with Melissa and her Bridal party in one of the gorgeous rooms at the venue. These girls created a perfect atmosphere as they all had their finishing touches completed and even had time to pop open a bottle of champagne! We managed to pop downstairs where Nathan and the boys were getting ready (after they had finished their beers!)

“There is only one happiness in life – to love and to be loved”

Back upstairs, Melissa’s Dad held back the tears as he walked into the room, seeing his daughter in her Wedding dress and boy did she look incredible!

As guests arrived, they were wowed by the backdrop of the ’Callow Great Hall’ where the ceremony was to be held. With its inspiring stone cloisters, exquisite stained-glass windows and perfectly placed blossom trees – it was like something out of a movie! A gorgeous string quartet provided the music as Melissa walked the aisle accompanied by her father. Nathan was awestruck as he saw his beautiful Bride for the first time and smiled from ear to ear.

Before we knew it, the new Mr & Mrs Guest were walking hand in hand back down the aisle to elated cheers from their guests! As the sun shone on this crisp, Autumn day, drinks were served in the lavender garden as Melissa & Nathan were able to mingle with their loved ones. The classical music continued as drinks were sipped and confetti was scattered! The celebrations proceeded in the Garden Pavilion – a light an airy space perfect for a Wedding breakfast. There were lots of personal touches – with a quirky puzzle board signing frame and disposable cameras, the guests had plenty to keep them entertained!

After a delicious meal and three cracking speeches, the evening celebrations began next door in ‘St Anne’s’ – Melissa & Nathan surprised guests with a choreographed ‘Waltz’ for their first dance.. what a cool idea! The partying then truly got going as guests strutted their stuff on the dance floor late into the night!

What an incredible day from start to finish.. here’s to a wonderful married life guys!
