Chris & Janie
Wow! This day was simply beautiful! From the incredible floral displays, beautiful touches of pale pinks and then the brilliant venue itself – it truly was a joy to photograph.
Chris & Janie are such lovely couple and we couldn’t wait to be part of their big day at ‘Hanbury Wedding Barns’. Relaxed, rustic and stylish – it’s a new venue set in the heart of the National Forest and it is seriously incredible! With an outdoor ceremony pavilion overlooking the gorgeous lake, stunning courtyard and delightful exposed timber frames throughout the barns, it really did provide the most perfect backdrop for Chris & Janie’s wedding.
Getting ready at the venue with her bridesmaids in the awesome, dedicated ‘prep’ suite – these girls felt like superstars as they had their hair and make up completed. Lots of fun was had in between sipping Prosecco and the Bride’s mum making us laugh lots. Before we knew it, they were ready for the big moment!
Chris’ outfit was just perfect for the venue and colour theme. A navy suit complimented by a grey, tweed waistcoat and pastel pink tie – he looked awesome. Janie’s dress was super elegant with beautiful, intricate details. The Bride’s Dad held back the tears as he saw her for the first time and couldn’t wait to proudly walk her down the aisle.
As the music started and guests were asked to stand, huge wooden doors opened and the bridal party appeared – including two particularly lovely flower girls! Chris was speechless when he saw his Bride and the pair of them couldn’t stop smiling. With views over the water and across into the neighbouring countryside, it really is such romantic spot to tie the knot.
Guests were given personalised, rustic confetti cones. Even the dried petals matched the themes – Janie had thought of everything! After the shower of confetti, drinks were enjoyed in the pretty courtyard whilst we had some fun with the bridesmaids and groomsmen before whisking Chris & Janie away and exploring the delightful grounds. Chris’ usher did a cracking job of being the master of ceremonies for the day and proudly introduced them into the barn for the wedding breakfast. With floor to ceiling windows and huge, exposed beams – it’s a beautiful, rustic space to hold your wedding meal and speeches.
Talking of speeches! The Best Man had arranged a personalised song by a professional musician for the new Mr & Mrs Richards – what an incredible idea! We even had time just as the evening light disappeared to grab Chris & Janie for some shots in the fields next to the venue – the colours out there suited the theme perfectly.
As the evening set in, a live band played the newlyweds first dance and before we knew it the dance floor was full with guests throwing their best shapes. Mr & Mrs Richards – your day was pretty damn awesome! Here’s to a life full of happiness.
