Mel & Nick

Combine one of our favourite venues with incredible guests, the most beautiful dog called Bert… oh a pretty awesome bride and groom and you have the ingredients for the most perfect wedding!

Weddings like Mel & Nick’s make it easy to forget I’m actually ‘working’ – laughing so hard literally all day until my cheeks hurt was an absolute joy!

Back at the stunning Cider Mill Barns, just outside of Stratford upon Avon we always know we’re on to a winner before we’ve even arrived. This venue has it all – glorious grounds, floor to ceiling windows flooding the entire space with natural light and the most breathtaking exposed wood and brickwork. On top of that – you’re joined by simply the most friendly and attentive team of staff you could wish for.

Mel had a super relaxed morning in the venues prep barn, surrounded by her lovely bridesmaids as they got ready for the big day. She really looked so beautiful as she stepped into the most elegant of sleeveless dresses, complimented perfectly with a delicate veil and bouquet full of creams and greens.

Nick looked super cool in his dark green suit, whilst the rest of his groomsmen were in light grey with a touch of matching green in their ties and pocket squares.

Once Mel had made the nervous, yet exciting walk down the aisle with her Dad; the entire ceremony was full of smiles and giggles – these two are so perfectly matched and it was an absolute joy photographing them as they said their vows. Guests couldn’t wait to go wild and celebrate with the new Mr & Mrs Ayers, including their fur baby Bert the golden retriever! We couldn’t resist including the photo of him posing in front of Mel & Nick looking somewhat drunk! 🙂

The drinks reception was super chilled as guests loved mingling and exploring the amazing grounds that Cider Mill has to offer. There were lawn games to keep people entertained, including a bride & groom table football!

After dinner came the speeches, which set up the evening celebrations perfectly! Once Mel & Nick had taken to the dance floor, they ushered their guests on before the incredible ‘Chelsea Daggers’ had the room shaking late into the night!

We never take it for granted just how much faith couples put into us when picking us to photograph the biggest day of their lives! So Mel & Nick, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Here’s to a married life absolutely filled with incredible memories.
