Hannah & Ryan

With an exciting build up to Hannah and Ryan’s big day, we were so disappointed having to self isolate. The lovely Andy Doherty came to the rescue and captured this gorgeous wedding! We have the privilege of editing the photos in our unique style and the pleasure of creating this sneak peek blog.

Choosing the stunning ‘Olton Friary Church’ to tie the knot and ‘The Limes Country Lodge’ to host the rest of the day’s celebrations – they were in for a brilliant day! With us not being present, this blog is a little different to our usual teasers – Hannah has provided us with this incredible insight into their beautiful day!

“It was one of the hottest days of the year! Absolute scorcher! It was beautiful in every way. We were over the moon that we finally got to have our special day, (Third date lucky!!). With the easing of some restrictions it meant that family from afar were able to join us which meant so much to us! The limes country lodge was the perfect setting as this is where Ryan proposed back in 2018. We were childhood sweethearts, we met when we were 15 and have been inseparable ever since.  I got ready with the bridesmaids (all 6 of them!) and mothers – it was nice and relaxed. We popped some bubbles and enjoyed taking in every moment before the big moment arrived! Andy was able to meet the boys at ‘Olton Friary RC church’ to get some snaps of them before hand. I arrived in an old style Beaufort – my dad had always wanted to ride in one! So what better opportunity would there be than my own wedding day.

Ryan caught a glimpse of me as I walked in. I was holding on to my proud father’s arm, walking the aisle to the sound of the organist playing Pachelbel’s canon in D. Ryan started to well up.. (he was also during his heartfelt speech and our first dance too!). It was so very clear how much this day meant to both of us, especially having waited so long to marry one another.

My new husband who knows me very well – and knows how messy I am – gifted me my own wedding apron so I could enjoy my first meal as Mrs Smith in style! (The food was absolutely beautiful!) For our theme, we chose lilac with wild rustic flowers. Centre pieces were logs, candles, vintage jars and stunning floral displays. Rather than a traditional guest book, we opted for a ‘Jenga’ tower that guests could sign. We both love playing games and this is something we will treasure whilst enjoying for years to come! All of our wedding stationary ( including the menus, signage and seating plan) was hand made by my sister Laura, which was perfect in every way. It was so special having her personal touches at our wedding.

For our first dance, we chose an acoustic version of ‘Imagine’ by Ben Platt.  “Oh, I never knew what I needed, until I felt your hand holding mine” – this describes mine and Ryan’s relationship perfectly. As the evening partying started, the guests enjoyed the magic mirror photo booth and props in between drinking and dancing the night away – I even ditched my lovely wedding shoes for a pair of bridal converse!

The day was full of love, laughter, happiness and jaeger bombs!”

Ryan & Hannah – although we weren’t able to celebrate with you in person, it’s been our pleasure getting to know you and we cannot wait to finish the entire wedding day’s photos! We’re so glad you finally got to enjoy your special day – and boy did you do it in style! Here’s to a married life full of love & happiness x

Thanks to Andy Doherty for capturing the images for us to edit in our signature style!
