Sophie & Ant

Our last wedding of 2021 and what a way to round off the most incredible year! Sophie & Ant’s big day was phenomenal! Having met this gorgeous pair shooting one of their friends weddings, we just knew how lovely their big day was going to be. Throw in one of our favourite venues ‘Shustoke Barn’ and we had the perfect combination for a spectacular day!

Sophie & Ant are not only absolutely beautiful to look at, they are two of the nicest people you could ever wish to meet. Super warm and funny, they ensured all day that every single guest had the best time ever! Getting ready at two quaint, little cottages a stones throw from the barns – the atmosphere was just perfect. We laughed so much as the girls gossiped and Sophie worried about wearing her ‘granny’ wedding shoes!

That old phrase of ‘don’t work with children’ went out the window – Sophie & Ant’s little boy Mason was an absolute dream to photograph.. he’s certainly going to break a few hearts when he’s older!

Once they were looking dapper, Ant and the boys headed over to the venue to greet guests and Sophie wasn’t far behind in a stunning white BMW accompanied by her Dad. With a string quartet providing the most romantic atmosphere, guests were asked to stand as Sophie entered the barn. This pairs smiles were contagious and guests were so excited to see them finally tie the knot after such a long time waiting.

Straight after the ceremony, we kidnapped the two of them as the winter sun began to set, capturing some absolutely gorgeous photos of the pair of them. With the drinks reception in full swing, we then took full advantage of all the incredible spots Shustoke Barns has to offer and Chris even managed to full over, flat on his backside!

As it gets darker outside, Shustoke Barn is one of those venues that really ‘comes to life’. With hundreds of candles lit, the most incredible floral displays and exposed brickwork and timbers – it really is such a magical location for a wedding reception. After dinner, guests were in stitches throughout all of the speeches and it got everyone pumped ready for the party!

With one of the best DJs we’ve seen, the new Mr & Mrs Ell took to the dance floor (with the help of the ‘Strictly’ theme song) before performing their first dance. Not that their friends needed encouragement to dance, but Kevin Littles ‘Turn me on’ came on and the guests went nuts! It really was on of those weddings we didn’t want to leave!

Sophie & Ant, you really did have the most incredible day! Thanks for letting us end this magical year on such a high. Here’s to a married life full of love, giggles and granny shoes..
