Rachel & James
We got to know this lovely pair in the build up to their big day. Meeting them in person during the engagement shoot which was full of laughter – we knew their wedding was going to be incredible! They have an infectious sense of humour and their love for one another is beautiful to capture.
Choosing to host the entire day at ‘The Wood Norton’ in Evesham – guests were in for a treat. This unique wedding venue is nestled on the cusp of the Cotswolds, and a short distance from Worcestershire, Stratford-Upon-Avon and Cheltenham. It really does have the wow factor!
Surrounded by her gorgeous bridesmaids, the girls got ready in the huge prep suite at the venue. Flooded with natural light, it’s the perfect space to get pampered for the day ahead. These ladies shared gifts, sipped champagne and there was a lot of giggling going on… When the time came for Rachel to step into her dress, the bridesmaids were blown away when they saw her for the first time. A really special moment was seeing the Bride’s father and brother opening their eyes and seeing Rachel in her dress – what a privilege to be able to capture these precious moments.
James and his groomsmen were downstairs enjoying a cold beer and loving their new pocket watches – what a cool idea! As the sun shone over the grounds, guests took their seats outside and enjoyed views of the rolling countryside and the impressive Wood Norton behind them. Leading the bridal party were two of the cutest little flower girls! James held back the tears when he saw his beautiful bride walking across the grounds towards the aisle, accompanied by her father.
The new Mr & Mrs didn’t stop smiling throughout the ceremony and their loved ones couldn’t wait to enjoy celebrating with them. Basking in the glorious sunshine, guests enjoyed canapés and drinks on the lawn whilst we explored the grounds, making the most of all of the incredible photo spots. Soon it was time to make the short walk up towards the orangery for the wedding breakfast – this beautiful, contemporary space high up in the grounds with floor to ceiling windows is just stunning.
The speeches had everyone laughing and crying – it was the perfect balance of humour and love. Before we knew it, the room had been transformed for the evening partying and what a party it was! With live sax and bongo drums from two of the coolest performers in sequin jackets – the dance floor was buzzing!
What an absolute joy it was to be part of your special day Rachel & James. Here’s to a married life full of incredible memories.
