David & Rebecca
David & Rebecca’s big day saw us back at one of our favourite venues, ‘Swallows Nest Barn’ – this stunning, 19th century barn is steeped in character and sits within a valley of beautiful, private land. On the edge of the Cotswolds, it truly is such a romantic space to tie the knot!
We joined Rebecca at the venue not long before the ceremony, to capture those last little bits as she got prepped for the big day. David and his groomsmen were busy greeting their friends and family as they arrived for the day’s celebrations.
The barn was full of stunning floral displays popping with pastel colours and wild flowers, perfectly complimenting the exposed brickwork and floor to ceiling windows.
David was speechless when he got to see Rebecca walking down the aisle with her Dad. With the most elegant of dresses, finished off with a delicate veil – she really did look so beautiful. After the all important documents were signed and David had sealed the deal with the ‘first kiss’, everybody was eager to congratulate the newlyweds outside in the stunning courtyard (partly because it was one of the hottest days of the year!)
The drinks reception was super chilled – guests enjoyed lawn games as they sipped drinks and mingled. But it didn’t take long for the competitive streak to come out during some intense games of jenga and cornhole!
With a tasty dinner and some cracking speeches (including the use of a projector from the best man to truly embarrass David!), everyone was was ready for the evening partying to get going!
As the sun started to set and it got a little cooler, one of their friends DJ’d in the courtyard whilst we ventured around some of the many amazing spots Swallows Nest has to offer for stunning bride and groom portraits. This included its very own woodland and a bridge over a pretty stream.
When we arrived back at the barn, the most incredible band was set up and ready to entertain guests – and boy did they achieve that! With ‘sing offs’, guest interactions and some seriously impressive vocals, the party was rocking late into the night!
Thanks for having us capture your day! Here’s to a married life full of fun and laughter!
