Eleanor & Derek

Christmas trees, a singing groom and one hell of a party – Eleanor & Derek’s big day was the most perfect festive wedding! We ventured down to the Cotswolds to ‘The Old Lodge’ – our first time here and it really is quite special. With cosy fireplaces, gorgeous decor and incredible views across the Stroud Valleys, it’s the most romantic of places to tie the knot.

Eleanor & Derek added lots of personal touches to their Wedding – including wooden festive signs, miniature log slice name places and the most fabulous winter wedding cake with perfect cake toppers of the couple and their dog!

Eleanor and her bridal party got ready in an Airbnb nearby. We had lots of laughs with these lovely ladies as they all pampered themselves for the big day. Eleanor looked stunning – opting for the prettiest of dresses with lace detailed sleeves. She had her hair down in soft curls and a bouquet full of seasonal flowers. 

When the big moment came, a nervous Derek and his groomsmen greeted guests and showed them to their seats, whilst Eleanor and her bridesmaids lined up ready to walk down the aisle. As the music started, Derek couldn’t resist the temptation and turned to look at his beautiful bride. The way these two locked eyes and didn’t stop smiling was so precious to witness.

After a ceremony full of pure joy, they were officially Mr & Mrs Hope! We embraced the cold and couldn’t wait to explore the wonderful grounds around the venue. The low winter sun setting over the hills at The Old Lodge really was breathtaking!

After some tasty food, it was time for speeches and they didn’t disappoint. Just as the groom finished his speech, Frank Sinatra’s L-O-V-E started playing and Derek took the mic surprising the entire room & serenading his bride!

The room was then turned around ready for the evening partying as guests enjoyed mingling in the bar. We ventured outside with Eleanor & Derek to capture a couple of magical shots in the dark before returning ready for the dancing!

It really felt like capturing two old friends’ wedding with this wonderful couple. Here’s to a married life full of happiness and incredible adventures.
