Ryan & Abbie
It was our first time shooting at ‘Grangefields’ and it didn’t fail to impress! Typically of one of the ‘Cripps’ signature venues, this stunning Derbyshire space is simply oozing elegance and luxury. Exposed brickwork, trendy open-show kitchen and an Argentinian Asado in the courtyard – this place has the most incredible attention for detail!
Joining the bridal party just before the ceremony, we captured Abbie arriving in style accompanied by her six gorgeous bridesmaids. Abbie had her hair up, complimenting the most delicate pearl jewellery and an off the shoulder dress – she truly made a stunning bride! Her super proud mum accompanied her down the aisle where a dapper looking Ryan was waiting. With a classic, black suit, grey tweed waistcoat and matching black bowtie, he really did look the part!
With a live pianist performing as she walked down the aisle, the atmosphere was truly romantic! The ceremony itself was beautiful and before they knew it, they were walking back down the aisle as the new Mr & Mrs Metcalfe and celebrating with their guests! The drinks reception was held in Grangfield’s spectacular courtyard, where guests mingled in the glorious November sunshine. We couldn’t wait to explore the gorgeous grounds with Abbie & Ryan – we knew they’d be so good in front of the camera and they absolutely smashed it! Then came time for shots with the bridal party and groomsmen – it’s one of our favourite parts of the day to get creative and capture that raw emotion. The guys were brilliant and we didn’t stop laughing!
As the winter sun set in the sky over the rolling countryside, guests were invited into the barn and were blown away with how incredible it looked! Industrial, exposed metal beams and corrugated walls matched perfectly with warm lighting and fabulous green floral displays suspended from the ceiling. Little touches with flowers in pumpkins and hand painted name places added to how beautiful the barn looked.
After dinner, Abbie had a surprise for everyone, especially her new Husband – Singing waiters!! After a clumsy trip on the floor from a waitress, she stood up, whipped out a microphone and along with her co-performer, belted out the most mind blowing performance shocking everyone in the process! The room was literally shaking with the energy!
Once everyone had then caught their breath, it was time for the speeches which were brilliant and full of laughs. The evening seamlessly flowed into the partying which came after the first dance. A live band had everyone rocking late into the night. We even managed to steal the bride and groom outside for something a little special before we disappeared.
