Jack & Samantha

We simply loved this wedding! Combine the most amazing couple, incredible guests and a stunning venue – and you’re on to a winner!

Like so many of our couples, Jack & Samantha had to postpone their big day, meaning their wedding was even more special when it finally arrived! The celebrations were held at ‘Old Rectory House’ – an intimate venue in Worcestershire with its very own Victorian orangery, gorgeous terrace and beautiful gardens.

Samantha and her two lovely bridesmaids got pampered for the big day upstairs in the bridal suite at the venue. We laughed so hard to the point that Chris lost his voice! These girls were a perfect example of what ‘bridal prep’ is all about – super relaxed and LOTS of laughing whilst enjoying a bottle of fizz!

Jack and his groomsmen were downstairs getting themselves ready. Jack donned the most incredible velvet, green dinner jacket with matching tie. Having best man Dad by his side, the gents enjoyed a drink whilst guests arrived and took their seats in the Lavender Barn.

Now… traditionally at this point, the Bride’s father walks his daughter down the aisle to a nervously waiting groom – but not Jack & Samantha! They decided to ‘meet’ each other in private just before the ceremony… and we LOVED it! Stood in the gardens with his back turned, Samantha approached him and called out his name. Jack turned and his smile speaks a thousand words! It was honestly the nicest feeling having the privilege of capturing this moment!

Walking down the aisle together, guests loved seeing them both hand in hand! Once they’d sealed the deal with a kiss, we were all back out in the gardens basking in the October sunshine! Old Rectory House have an awesome tipi outside, with a bar, reclaimed wooden furniture and festoon lighting – the most perfect setting for a drinks reception!

After the meal and speeches, the evening partying got going and boy it didn’t fail to impress! With a hilarious caricaturist, confetti canons and sparklers, the atmosphere was awesome! Jack & Samantha’s wedding cake was unbelievable – rustic and three tiered, matching the theme of the day perfectly. A live band had the dance floor buzzing late into the night and just before leaving we managed to grab the new Mr & Mrs Haughey for a quirky shot at the front of the venue’s infamous doorway surrounded by greenery.

Jack & Samantha, you truly had a wedding to remember! Thanks for letting us be part of it and here’s to a married life full of smiles!
