Howard & Maisie

Howard & Maisie’s big day saw us return to Stanbrook Abbey – this incredible venue in Worcestershire’s countryside truly is the most stunning location to host a wedding. A former grade II listed monastery dating back to the early 16th century, combined with the most awesome modernisation – it really does make for some gorgeous photos!

Surrounded by her lovely bridesmaids as they got ready, there was a lot of laughter and even a smashed plant pot (not naming any names!). Once fully ‘prepped’, Maisie stepped into the most elegant, classic wedding dress – she really did look so incredible. The girls then made the short journey over to the abbey along with the Bride’s Mum, Brother and not forgetting the utterly gorgeous little Brooks!

Howard was looking ever so dapper in a tailored navy suit with grey waistcoat and detailed pink tie. As he checked himself over, straightened his button hole and ensured guests were seated in the right place – it was suddenly time for the arrival of the bridal party! Accompanied down the aisle by her Mum and Brother, Maisie blew people away with how wonderful she looked. Howard was absolutely beaming when he saw his wife-to-be! The Abbey itself is out of this world. The beautiful architecture with its stone cloisters and stained glass windows created the most breathtaking backdrop for this wedding.

After the ceremony, guests went crazy for the new Mr & Mrs and we ventured out into the gardens for a drinks reception and live, acoustic music. There was even a magician wowing guests whilst we got those all important family shots. We then got the chance to have some fun with the bridal and grooms parties, taking advantage of the quirky backdrops around the grounds. We then loved being able to capture some stunning, relaxed portraits of the new Mr & Mrs Baker. We headed back just in time for the wonderful toastmaster to get the crowd going again as he introduced Howard & Maisie into the room!

The reception was held in the Abbey’s huge marquee. It was beautifully presented with fairy lights, chandeliers and white drapes. The cake was a tasty looking three tiered naked number, elegantly decorated with flowers matching the theme for the day.

Now… having kept a huge surprise secret from all of their guests – just as dessert was served, all was to be revealed by Maisie & Howard! With a clumsy waitress tripping and spilling cutlery all over the floor, the room went silent as guests gasped. However, all was not as it seemed and this ‘waitress’ whipped out a microphone and began belting out some absolute bangers! One final surprise, was the muscly, bearded ‘waiter’ who had been serving guests all afternoon revealed he was in fact part of the surprise and joined in! The marquee was rocking as guests stood on chairs, waved napkins above their heads and an impromptu dance floor was created as everyone let loose! It was exhausting keeping up with the pure mayhem! What an amazing idea to surprise your loved ones!

The awesome atmosphere flowed into the evening as a brilliant DJ filled the room with guests strutting their stuff! We sneaked off to create some of our infamous evening shots with Maisie & Howard – including popping back into the Abbey, this place is a dream to photograph a wedding at!

Mr & Mrs Baker – You guys absolutely smashed it! Congratulations to you and we hope you have the most beautiful marriage full of love and happiness.
