Kelly & Morris

Oh my! Live music, bottles of Sambuca and two of the most incredible families – this wedding was such a joy to be part of!

Like so many other couples, Kelly & Morris had experienced the stress of having to postpone their big day. Originally planning to tie the knot in Portugal, they ended up bringing the wedding back to the UK and chose the stunning ‘Nuthurst Grange’ to host the celebrations. Nestled in almost ten acres of private woodland with gorgeous grounds, quirky features and views of the neighbouring countryside, it was such a pleasure to explore and capture stunning photos for this lovely couple. With the sun beating down on us all day, it was like being abroad anyway!

Both choosing to get prepped in suites within the venue, it was easy for us to pop between Kelly with the girls and Morris with his groomsmen. Both groups had us in stitches as they told stories, enjoyed drinks and in the boys case – they enjoyed picking on one of the groomsmen after he tried to do my job for me!

Once ready, Kelly made the short walk towards the ceremony. This lovely space has a pitched roof, exposed wooden beams and huge doors leading out onto the pretty courtyard, which was covered by the most incredible teepee. After the announcement that Kelly & Morris were officially married, they couldn’t wait to share a kiss and exit the room as their guests cheered! We headed straight out into the amazing gardens, where we captured the formal photos before having some fun! There are so many wonderful spots at Nuthurst Grange, with various textures and backdrops that make stunning wedding photos. Kelly & Morris were an absolute joy to photograph and we didn’t stop laughing!

On to the speeches… we hear a LOT of these each year and these guys absolutely smashed it! Not only were they incredibly emotional, they also had the guests laughing their socks off too. This wedding day was not only about celebration, but the bride and groom wanted to remember those thoroughly important loved ones who weren’t able to be there with them. There were so many gorgeous touches, including photos on display and little lockets on Kelly’s bouquet.

The colour theme and styling throughout the day was perfect. With subtle, pale pinks and greens – it worked so well in the venue’s light and airy spaces.

We even managed to disappear with Kelly & Morris for a few moments as the evening sun settled in the sky and we were blessed with the most charming golden colours. As we headed back to the party, a live band kicked things off and the dance floor was rammed! A BBQ was fired up outside and the terrace came to life with beautiful lighting.

You guys rocked! Thanks for having us capture your stunning wedding day!
