Luke & Kirstyn
These guys and their friends and families were so lovely. Even with it raining pretty much all day, they didn’t let it dampen the mood – this wedding was full of fun and laughter from start to finish.
We started the day just before the ceremony as guests mingled and Luke and his ushers showed loved ones to their seats, ready for the big moment. Kirstyn arrived at the church in style in a vintage wedding car with ribbons matching the colour theme. Kirstyn & Luke chose to tie the knot at St. Mary’s in Acocks Green. With its grand cloisters and stunning stained glass windows – it truly made for some gorgeous photos during their ceremony. As the newlyweds knelt to pray, guests chuckled as they saw Luke’s ‘HELP ME’ painted on the soles of his shoes!
Even with the rain coming down, guests braved the outside and couldn’t wait to scatter their natural confetti and celebrate with the new Mr & Mrs Darby. Soon after, everyone made their way over to the beautiful ‘Castle Bromwich Hall Hotel’ where the rest of the days celebrations were due to take place. This beautiful, historic country house is set in 10 acres of gardens with the perfect blend of traditional features and contemporary touches.
Kirstyn & Luke decided to embrace the weather as we explored the venue to capture some incredible photos with them and their bridesmaids and groomsmen. As guests enjoyed the drinks reception, it was soon time for everyone to be seated for the wedding breakfast. Kirstyn had created the most amazing ‘Pokemon’ themed decor with touches of autumnal colours fitting the time of year and venue perfectly. After the meal, guests loved listening to the speeches – there was a super mix of humour and love.
As if by magic, the evening celebrations continued as guests made the short stroll through the gardens to their unique, separate party barn. Proudly on display was their wedding cake with the most adorable, personalised toppers! During some all important first dances, a surprise ‘celebrity’ guest made an appearance, much to the joy of the guests! With a conga and a LOT of dancing, we escaped outside and took advantage of the rain for one last, magical photo.
Kirstyn & Luke, it was a pleasure being part of your big day – here’s to an incredible married life!
