Alan & Katy

From the minute we met this lovely couple last year, we couldn’t wait to be a part of their big day! With their shared quirky sense of humour and clear love for one another; they’re a joy to be around. Alan & Katy chose ‘Billesley Manor’ to host their celebrations. Set in over ten acres of Warwickshire countryside, this 16th Century Elizabethan manor is full of charm. With open fires, exposed oak beams and perfectly landscaped gardens – it’s the most romantic of venues.

On the morning of the Wedding, Katy and her Bridesmaids got ready in the huge Bridal suite. As the sun peaked through the clouds, these girls giggled over stories and sipped champagne. With a theme of deep purples for the Bridesmaid’s dresses and flowers, they looked stunning! Alan and his Groomsmen were busy downstairs fixing button holes in place, ensuring those last minute tasks were completed and greeting guests on their arrival.

With the big moment arriving, Katy’s father had the honour of escorting his daughter down the aisle. With a live pianist and singer performing, it was a truly romantic affair! Alan resisted the temptation of having a look over his shoulder and waited patiently for his beautiful Bride to arrive.
Both the Bride and Groom’s Mothers had the special task of performing readings during the ceremony. There was plenty of smiles and laughter and Katy’s infamous snort laugh made an appearance, having the guests in stitches! At the back of the room were two especially important guests – Alan & Katy’s beloved fur babies. One of which decided to sit on my lap whilst I was trying to take a picture of his sister!

 “I believe in us”

Once the ‘knot was tied’ and the all important first (and second…and third!) kiss was had, we all made our way outside into the gorgeous gardens, where loved ones scattered confetti over the new Mr & Mrs! During the drinks reception, we explored the grounds with Alan & Katy, taking advantage of all of Billesley Manor’s beautiful backdrops for photos.

Soon enough it was time for the Wedding Breakfast. The table places were themed around worldwide destinations and guests even had their own personalised miniature. With more live music, the atmosphere was super laid back – perfect to enjoy a sumptuous three course meal. What followed were some of the most heartwarming and emotional speeches we’ve ever heard. Remembering the most precious people not present; there weren’t many dry eyes in the room. Lifting the mood, Alan’s best man managed to have the guests laughing their socks off, including a surprise appearance from a particular dolphin teddy!

The evening celebrations began with the newlyweds taking to the dance floor, before their nearest and dearest joined them. What followed was one incredible party, with some pretty epic dance moves being thrown! Mr & Mrs Horan, it was truly a pleasure being able to capture your special day. Here’s to a married life full of smiles for two incredible people.
