– A Rustic Winter Wedding Full of Love –
Jo & Andy lost touch after meeting in a pub around 30 years ago. On the very day that they met, neither imagined that all this time later they would meet again and a proposal on a beach in Montego Bay, Jamaica would lead to this gorgeous Wedding Day. It stands to prove that fate can indeed bring you back together, even some time later. Jo describes Andy as her best friend. His kind and generous ways and the abundance of laughter between the two of them are her favourite things about their relationship.
Planning the big day!
When it came to planning their Wedding Day, the fact that this was a February wintery wedding made choosing colour themes and accessories that little bit easier. With fantastic taste, Jo & Andy opted for Burgundy Bridesmaid dresses. The dresses were fabulously accessorised with rustic bouquets containing winter berries and an array of matching colours. At the Wedding Reception, the centre pieces were placed perfectly on log slices and surrounded by scatters of flickering tea-lights. The room was made to come alive with a rustic, wintery warmth. A ‘naked’ cake drew eyes from all across the room – layered with berries and dustings of icing – each sponge was held together with oozes of buttercream! The sponge itself was made up of three truly immense flavours; apple strudel, chocolate brownie and lemon and lime.. It doesn’t get much better than that..!
A real touching element to Jo & Andy’s day was the wedding favour each guest received. In loving memory of special family members, Jo & Andy made a donation to Cancer Research. Every guest then received a beautiful snowflake pin as a symbolic keepsake. In memory of her Father, Jo was walked down the aisle by her son Robert who wore his Granddad’s watch. This beautiful touch meant a part of Jo’s Dad joined her as she walked into the church to marry Andy.
One thing that stays with us from this Wedding is the importance of family and how close these guys really are. Jo & Andy tell us they are never happier than when they are spending time with their children and granddaughter – and honestly, we can really see this. Andy not only tells us that Jo is the best person he has ever met, but also is a fantastic mother which again, became patently obvious to us too!
Jo & Andy – we can only say that we thoroughly enjoyed every second of your Wedding Day. You are relaxed, fun and extremely loving people. You deserve only the best! Continue to enjoy your life together filled with your favourite things – endless holidays, parties and cosy nights in in front of the TV with a take-away! We know you will continue to cherish each moment with your lovely family, and to this we aspire! Thank you for filling our hearts with so much love.
