Our day began with us joining Sam in the company of her two beautiful bridesmaids as they got ready for the big day ahead! The Roundabout Hotel in West Chiltington provided the backdrop for this part of the day and the room was stunning, spacious and tastefully decorated. The morning was very relaxed as the girls sipped champagne and listened to cheesy tunes before they headed over to the venue where the rest of the days events unfolded!
Sam & Steve decided to get married at Bartholomew Barn in Kirdford – a Grade II listed barn originally built in 1884. This idyllic venue is nothing less than spectacular and a perfect venue for anyone looking for a rustic yet sophisticated wedding. Situated amongst fields of farmland, the oak beamed barn also features a courtyard with a beautiful pond and areas of overwhelmingly gorgeous flowers and shrubs making the most stunning backdrop for photographs. The barn was lit with candles as Sam walked down the aisle to meet with Steve. We’re certain there wasn’t a dry eye in the barn as this gorgeous bride entered the room. The ceremony was perfect and after Sam and Steve joined in marriage, guests headed out into the surrounding grounds to shower the new Mr & Mrs with confetti and endless congratulations!
Despite rain joining us the afternoon, we had plenty of time to capture gorgeous photos of Sam and Steve with friends and family before everyone settled for a meal and speeches. Our personal highlight of the evening was the FAB surprise lip sync for Sam prior to their first dance. A fantastically hilarious routine so perfectly planned and executed by the groom and his groomsmen! This is something we will NEVER forget!! As the evening came to a close for our photography, we asked Sam and Steve to join us for one final photo and used the drizzle of rain to capture one of 2016’s personal favourites – see our final photo of the blog 🙂
Thank you Sam and Steve for allowing us to be part of your big day. Every aspect of your wedding was beyond stunning! You are a fabulous couple and we wish you every happiness in your future as Mr & Mrs.
